"None Other Object Save the Everlasting Welfare of Your Souls"

Read 2 Ne 2. I was expecting to get some grandiose and mystical lesson in agency as to how it applies to my situation, but it was mostly an average experience until I remembered to ask a question. So the question that came to mind was "What is God's Will, right now, for me?" The answer came in the last verse, "And I have none other object save it be the everlasting welfare of your souls" - this is how I have to treat people. And let me tell you it is an unnatural thing to do. The natural human question is "what's in it for me?" This is not a new revelation for me, but certainly one that I needed to be reinforced. Like this needs to be the only thing I consider in how I treat people. Toughest thing in the world to do? Yup. Possible? God told me to do it, right? so yup.
