Moroni 9: really sad chapter but there are some gems:
v6 "notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently" - have to keep trying regardless of you seek success, also can't base your happiness or effort level based on other peoples' agency. Lot of emphasis on duty.
"we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay" -to conquer Satan and rest souls w/ God. So withstanding temptation and exaltation are the purpose of our lives, what we should be focusing on.

v25 "be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death" - really depressing sad stuff happens in life, but this shouldn't be a reason for us to be happy. How? Christ: sufferings and death, showing body to the Nephites, mercy and long-suffering, hope of glory and eternal life. This stuff should "rest in our minds forever". Sounds a lot like always remembering Him.

Trying to figure out a good way to record topical study, for example faith - I can make a post about it but what if I want to give a talk about it or just review specific verses. Pretty sure I have a paper in a binder somewhere but I find electronic information a lot easier to access later. Maybe I should make a website with links to pages about different topics with lists of scripture references, commentary, quotes, links to talks, etc. ... So, did a bit of checking and sites.google.com looks like it could do what I want. And I could start with basically transferring my paper study notes to the site. Reviewing past study is good! So basically, blog will become a sequential "study journal" and website will become my easy-to-reference notes. One thing I like about this stuff is that it helps me have something productive to do when I sit down at the computer other than facebook/watching sports, etc.
