Peace, Ether 3: Faith

How can I feel the most secure and lasting peace?
-source needs to be Christ and the Atonement, worthiness, covenant-keeping, prayer, not what others think of me or how they act towards me.
-live my whole life for others and God.

Ether 3:
-what do the stones represent for me right now? goals? desires? school, dating? own efforts? that we take to the Lord, consecrating them and asking for the power of God to enable them/us. This is how the "enabling power" of the Atonement works that Elder Bednar spoke about
-v2 "commandment that we must call upon thee, that from thee we may receive according to our desires" - ok to and should be expressing our desires to God. What if those desires are not always good? Probably ok to explain them to God and ask that they be changed to better ones.
-v4-5 faith we should have as we pray "I know, O Lord, that thou hast all power, and can do whatsoever thou wilt for the benefit of man...Behold, O Lord, thou canst do this" very matter of fact, no doubt
-v9 "never has man come before me with such exceeding faith as thou hast" - this is the guy who was chastised for 3 hours for not calling upon God. Obviously it's a developed trait - possible for me or anybody to also develop.
-v12 "Yea, Lord, I know that thou speakest the truth, for thou art a God of truth, and canst not lie" -trust revelations that we receive, or counsel, or promises, patriarchal blessings, etc.
-v23 - gave 2 stones that were instrumental in the Restoration and translation of scripture - works through those with faith to do His work in the earth - I would like to be a part of that.
